The tax year for individuals starts on 6th April in the UK

The tax year for individuals ends on 5th April in the UK

Income tax filing deadline is 31st October for paper filings & 31st January for online submission

Income tax payment deadline is 31st January. First payment on account (next year advance payment) deadline is also 31st January and 2nd payment on account deadline is 31st July.
