R&D Tax credits claim

R&D Tax Credit is a complexed area and requires support from expert qualified and experienced accountants/tax advisors. We, at Naail & Co, provide end to end assistance for your R&D tax credits claim.

Parts of claim

An R&D claim usually consists of 2 parts. The Financial narrative and the technical report. The financial narrative, as the name suggests, contain all the figures of your qualifying projects broken down into various components like materials, labour, sub-contractors etc. The technical narrative is a detailed report where for each project, we need to ensure that all conditions are being met for the projects/costs to be qualifying eligible expenditure.

Ways of claiming R&D tax credits

You can make a claim within your company tax return (CT600) and ideally attach the detailed R&D credits report while submitting the CT600. Alternatively, if you intend to make a claim for the year for which company tax return has been submitted, you can amend/revise the submitted return to reflect the qualifying expenditure and the resultant claim.

Advance assurance

We can also provide assistance in applying for Advance assurance. Advance assurance can be obtained from HMRC if you are a SME and planning to make an R&D claim. Once the application is submitted, HMRC arranges for a quick call to get better understanding of the business in general and qualifying projects in particular.

Our fee

Like all other services, we usually mutually agree our fee in advance for preparation and submission of your claim. Unlike most of other R&D agents, we do not charge a set percentage of the winning claim on no win no fee basis.
